We understand that it takes more than one person to assist you with all of your orthopaedic needs. It truly takes a team approach. We are fortunate to offer patients what we believe to be the best medical staff in the Richmond area. In addition to Dr. Wind, the team members below will play an integral role in your care.

Chris Mahan PA-C

Richmond VA physician's assistant, orthopedic specialist, hip and knee surgeryChris is a certified Physicians Assistant.  He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Delaware.  Chris worked with high school and college athletes for several years in the Richmond area as a Certified Athletic Trainer before returning to school to become a PA.  He completed his graduate work and Masters Degree at James Madison University in 2011.   Chris assists Dr. Wind with seeing patients in office as well as in the hospital setting. He plays a vital role in providing complete care to our patients and is an excellent resource for patient questions and concerns.

Casey Keyser

Casey works as a Medical Assistant. She has been working with our team since 2009. Casey assists patients in office during consultations. She is also responsible for surgical education and surgical scheduling. She has an excellent rapport with patients and is always available for patient calls and concerns.

Jessica Emory

Jessica works as a Medical Assistant. She has been working with our team since 2009. Jessica plays a key role in assisting patients during consulatations. She is responsible for office appointment scheduling and coordination. She is an excellent resource for issues regarding billing and insurance. Jessica does an outstanding job in assisting patients and is always available for patient questions or concerns.

Kristen Wind RN

Kristen is a Registered Nurse. She obtained her nursing degree from the University of Notre Dame in Fremantle, Western Australia. She works with our team as a research assistant. She works with Dr. Wind on presentations as well as designing, implementing, and publishing orthopaedic research. In addition to her work at OrthoVirginia, Kristen is also a volunteer at Cross Over Health Care Ministry.
